Get ready for breathtaking scenery and unforgettable views.  Be prepared for pristine single track, winding cross-country trails and twisting forest paths.  You can be sure there will be a few ups and downs in this years race...The annual Perseverance Trail Run is coming to Cumberland on October 26th, 2008!  

The race starts at 11:00am with registration taking place between 9:000-10:30am at No. 6 Mine Park in Cumberland, BC.

This years event, hosted by Extreme Runners and Equilibrium Lifestyle Management will feature 3k cross-country and 10k mountain run courses with all proceeds donated to the Cumberland Community Forest Society.  The EARLY BIRD cost is $15 for adults & $10 for kids.  Racers can look forward to a fantastic trail run, delicious post race food and fabulous draw prizes from a host of local sponsors. This event is a great way to spend the day with the whole family! 

The 3k cross-country course is FUN focused and is designed for those who are new to trail running or prefer to enjoy the majestic scenery and fresh mountain air.  This short course will take you along undulating second growth forest trails and may even have some surprises along the way - great for kids!

The 10k mountain run features unforgettable single track running and biking trails with steady elevation gain.  This is a classic mountain run so you can expect steep climbs and descents, undulating single track and bridges, logs and water along the course.  Be prepared to ‘Persevere’ all the way to the finish!

The Cumberland Community Forest Society is a group of residents of the Village of Cumberland dedicated to purchase local forests for recreational and aesthetic purposes.  Their work has ensured the protection of over 150 acres of beautiful forest surrounding the Village of Cumberland.   The annual Perseverance Trail Run is a great way to support this local cause and ensure that more forests are protected for the future.
