ABOUT ELM FITNESS BOOTCAMP::

Fitness AND fun?  Sounds crazy to some but ELM has found a way to make your workouts fun and help you get the results you want.  Increase your muscular strength and endurance, improve balance and agility, and target your cardiovascular system, all while having fun! 

What exactly goes on at ELM FITNESS BOOTCAMP?  “Chin-ups, core training, squat jumps, lunges, balance training, relay races, boxing, stair climbing, beach sprints, interval training…it is always a surprise!  You can bet there will be a few push-ups as well.  We mix fitness with fun - it’s play-time for grown-ups!  Each outdoor training session flies by and comes to an end before our participants are ready to go home.”

INCLUDED IN ELM FITNESS BOOTCAMP::

  • Up to five 1.25 hour group training sessions/week led by professional fitness trainers with years of coaching and training experience, current certifications and fantastic personality!
  • Before and after body composition assessments including body fat testing.
  • Before and after fitness testing including aerobic and muscular testing.
  • Before and after one-on-one consultations with head trainer Sarah Seads.
  • Detailed fitness and nutrition manual with up to date health information.
  • Bootcamp survivor Tee-shirt
  • Weekly health and fitness education sessions/emails
  • Accountability to yourself and to your trainers by completing weekly nutrition, goal and exercise logs.

Prerequisite:
Desire to improve fitness. Ability to walk briskly for 60 minutes. All fitness levels will be challenged!
Goal:
Improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, endurance, speed, balance, agility, and co-ordination, all while having fun!

Maximum: 16 Participants

ELM 'FLEX' CARD OPTIONS:

FLEX options are for returning participants who want to enjoy *Workouts Only* without the cost of additional program services such as manuals, testing, weekly emails or educational materials.  FLEX cards can be used at all of our regular programs including Bootcamp, Running and Hiking clinic classes.  FLEX cards can not be used for special clinics or events and some restrictions apply.

BABY BOOTCAMP!

NEXT SESSION:

FALL TRAINING 2008! SEP 18-NOV 20TH 10-WEEKS
Time:
Thursday 9:30-10:45am

Deadline: September 12th
Goal: Burn off excess body fat, tone muscles, improve endurance, strength and core stability! Learn fun and effective ways to incorporate baby into your workout.

Prerequisite: Desire to improve post-baby fitness and spend time with baby at the same time!  Ability to walk briskly while pushing baby in a 3-wheeler for one hour.

What to Bring: Stroller (see details below). Bring a blanket that you can place on the ground, as well as a baby blanket or towel to make baby more comfortable during matwork.  Bring everything you and your baby will need during the session: blankets, diapers, bottles, appropriate clothing, and water and a towel for you!

Maximum 12 Participants.  Space is very limited so register early!
Cost:

ELM Members: 1/week $90

Non Members: 1/week $110

*Note: may combine with regular Bootcamp program to benefit from full services.*

DETAILS FOR PARTICIPANTS

Stroller Policy: 3-wheeler multi-purpose strollers only-no strollers with revolving wheels.  Recommend a stroller cover to protect baby from the elements.

Postpartum Policies: Moms must be a minimum 6 weeks postpartum or 8 weeks if recovering from a c-section.   

Less than 3 Months Postpartum: Written medical clearance is required from your physician or mid-wife and the ParMedX for Pregnancy Form must be completed. 

Greater than 3 Months Postpartum: You must complete a Par-Q Health Screening form and it is strongly recommended that you speak with your physician before beginning a new exercise program.

Weather Policy: Baby Boot Camp classes may be cancelled in the case of bad weather as follows:

  • Light wind or light rain. Classes are generally held, so please ensure that you bring a stroller cover that provides protection for light rain and wind. Please ensure that you also dress appropriately.
  • Heavy wind or heavy rain. Classes are generally cancelled in heavy winds or rain. Your instructor will make the decision to move indoors, typically no later than 60 minutes before class time. Contact your instructor or check to see if there is a location alert on the website notifying that class has been cancelled.
